In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.” Michael Jackson “If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.” Michael Jackson “Lies run sprints, but the truth runs marathons.” Michael Jackson “We have to heal our wounded world. The chaos, despair, and senseless destruction we see today are a result of the alienation that people feel from each other and their environment.” Michael Jackson “When they say the sky's the limit to me that's really true” Michael Jackson “To live is to be musical, starting with the blood dancing in your veins. Everything living has a rhythm. Do you feel your music?” Michael Jackson “People ask me how I make music. I tell them I just step into it. It's like stepping into a river and joining the flow. Every moment in the river has its song.” Michael Jackson “I'm starting with the man in the mirror, I'm asking him to change his ways; And no message could have been any clearer, If you wanna make the world a better place, Take a look at yourself, and then make a change!” Michael Jackson “Consciousness expresses itself through creation. This world we live in is the dance of the creator. Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on. On many an occasion when I am dancing, I have felt touched by something sacred. In those moments, I felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists. I become the stars and the moon. I become the lover and the beloved. I become the victor and the vanquished. I become the master and the slave. I become the singer and the song. I become the knower and the known. I Keep on dancing then it is the eternal dance or creation. The creator and creation merge into one wholeness of joy. I keep on dancing...and dancing...and dancing. Until there is only…the dance.” Michael Jackson “Hope is such a beautiful word, but it often seems very fragile. Life is still being needlessly hurt and destroyed.” Michael Jackson “All of us are products of our childhood.” Michael Jackson “In their innocence, very young children know themselves to be light and love. If we will allow them, they can teach us to see ourselves the same way. ” Michael Jackson “To give someone a piece of your heart, is worth more than all the wealth in the world.” Michael Jackson “Sometimes the heart is so heavy that we turn away from it and forget that its throbbing is the wisest message of life, a wordless message that says, "Live, be, move, rejoice -- you are alive!" Without the heart's wise rhythm, we could not exist.” Michael Jackson “A star can never die. It just turns into a smile and melts back into the cosmic music, the dance of life.” Michael Jackson “When children listen to music, they don't just listen. They melt into the melody and flow with the rhythm. Something inside starts to unfold its wings - soon the child and the music are one.” Michael Jackson “When I step out on stage in front of thousands of people, I don't feel that I'm being brave. It can take much more courage to express true feelings to one person. [...] In spite of the risks, the courage to be honest and intimate opens the way to self-discovery. It offers what we all want, the promise of love. ” Michael Jackson “I love to read. I wish I could advise more people to read. There’s a whole new world in books. If you can’t afford to travel, you travel mentally through reading. You can see anything and go any place you want to in reading.” Michael Jackson “But for me the sweetest contact with God has no form. I close my eyes, look within, and enter a deep soft silence. The infinity of God's creation embraces me.” Michael Jackson “Children show me in their playful smiles the divine in everyone.” Michael Jackson “And that's what innocence is. It's simple and trusting like a child, not judgmental and committed to one narrow point of view. If you are locked into a pattern of thinking and responding, your creativity gets blocked. You miss the freshness and magic of the moment. Learn to be innocent again, and that freshness never fades.” Michael Jackson “I'm just like anyone. I cut and I bleed and I embarrass easily.” Michael Jackson “I'm going to search for my star until I find it. It's hidden in the drawer of innocence, wrapped in a scarf of wonder.” Michael Jackson “Look beyond yourself..” Michael Jackson “They say that parenting is like dancing. You take one step, your child takes another.” Michael Jackson “Before you judge me, try hard to love me, look within your heart, then ask- have you seen my childhood ?” Michael Jackson “You're a vegetable!” Michael Jackson “Please go for your dreams. Whatever your ideals, you can become whatever you want to become.” Michael Jackson “But I will never stop helping and loving people the way Jesus said to.” Michael Jackson “Each song is a child I nourish and give my love to. But even if you have never written a song, your life is a song. How can it not be?” Michael Jackson
James William Johnson known as Jimmy Johnson (Born July 16 1943 – in Port Arthur Texas) is a former American football coach and sports analyst. As of 2016, he is an analyst for Fox NFL Sunday, the Fox network’s NFL pregame show for the NFL games. On January 12, 2020, it was announced that he would be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Johnson and fellow coach-turned-analyst Bill Cowher are the only two coaches to be inducted for what is called the “Centennial Class”, commemorating the NFL’s 100th anniversary. “Give people enough guidance to make the decisions you want them to make. Don’t tell them what to do, but encourage them to do what is best.” Jimmy Johnson “With ‘Survivor’ – I didn’t get any sleep, there was no food, we had to boil our water, plus, it was physically taxing during the day. That’s what made it more difficult than three-a-day practices.” Jimmy Johnson “I want to do what I want to do, when I want to do it.” Jimmy Johnson “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.” Jimmy Johnson “The number one motivator is fear. Fear of maybe letting down your teammates or being chastised or fear of losing your job.” Jimmy Johnson “Positive attitude plus effort equals performance. Everyone has gifts and talents born into them. We have no control of that. What we control is our attitude and our effort. What I know is that if your attitude remains positive and your effort remains strong, your performance will improve. Every time.” Jimmy Johnson “It’s a good gut check. If your attitude is slipping, you know it. You know if you’re slipping into negativity. You know it if you feel lethargic. You can shift it by considering your circumstances. You can remember your blessings. You can express gratitude. You can get your mind right. That doesn’t happen from the outside. It’s an inside job.” Jimmy Johnson “Your effort is also under your control. You can give just enough to get by. You can fool colleagues and bosses. You can take a day off. Most of the time, when your effort lacks, you’re the only one who knows it.” Jimmy Johnson “The difference between stumbling blocks and stepping stones is how you use them.” Jimmy Johnson “Screwing up twice doesn’t make it right.” Jimmy Johnson “Like I always say, it’s not how many great plays you make; it’s how few bad ones you make.” Jimmy Johnson “You can only win if you are in great shape, and if you’re not sucking for wind at end of the game. And when you look across the way and that guy is hanging down, he is a coward.” Jimmy Johnson “Fatigue makes cowards of us all. Don’t be tired.” Jimmy Johnson “We were very successful in high school. In college we were undefeated national champions, so I was around success all the time, and the more you’re around it and you see all the good things that happen, you want more of it. I think the more success you have, the more competitive you get. It’s almost like a drug. I was driven to win it all because that’s what I was accustomed to.” Jimmy Johnson “You’ll find out, life’s a game of inches – so is football. Because in either game, life or football, the margin for error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early, and you don’t quite make it. One half-step too slow or too fast, and you don’t quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They’re in every break in the game, every minute, every second.” Jimmy Johnson “If I get a 2×4 and put it right up here on this stage and I said, ‘I want you to walk across this 2×4,’ – the thought in your mind is you’re going to walk from one end to the other. No big deal. If I take that 2×4 and put it up 10 feet and say, ‘Walk one end to the other,’ what are you going to do? You’re going to tell yourself, ‘Don’t fall, don’t fall, don’t fall.’ If you had the thought in your mind that you’re going to fall, you’re going to fall! That’s how you’re going to win that game – walk that 2×4. It’s on the ground; it’s not 10 feet up.” Jimmy Johnson “An objective truth and individual reason are feared above all.” Jimmy Johnson “Rather than pouring over Xs and Os, the head coach’s time should be spent ensuring every single person in the organization – from the starting quarterback to the water boy – is motivated to do their very best, and that such motivation is achieved by the coach personally and continually acknowledging every individual for their contribution to the overall cause. Only if each person in the organization is functioning at maximum capacity can success be achieved.” Jimmy Johnson “I think it comes down to responsibility. I was responsible for the success of our football team, and in some ways I was responsible to millions of people who were watching us. That’s why I was so demanding.” Jimmy Johnson “You’ve got to be the hammer when you’ve had success.” Jimmy Johnson “I didn’t retire too early. I was ready to leave. The Keys had a lot to do with my leaving football because this is where I wanted to be.” Jimmy Johnson “I like to be out there relaxing’, get about five or six lines out, open up a Heineken Light and just relax. That’s my priority.” Jimmy Johnson “Most people think they know me. I like it to be that way. Let them think. But I can’t let people really know me. I don’t want people to ever know me well enough to predict what I will do. That way, I always remain in control.” Jimmy Johnson “Just understand one thing. The only way I could have gotten to this point in my life is to have lived it the way I did. And that, like everything, comes with a price.” Jimmy Johnson “I can’t confirm any rumors. I’m happy doing what I’m doing.” Jimmy Johnson “Treat a person as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a person as if he were where he could be and should be, and he will become what he could be and should be.” Jimmy Johnson “You’ve got to make sure that every body’s putting in the work and you’ve got to have the discipline to go out there and get the job done.” Jimmy Johnson “In some ways ‘Survivor’ might have saved my life.” Jimmy Johnson “I’ve seen every second of ‘Survivor’ since it started.” Jimmy Johnson “An objective truth and individual reason are feared above all.” Jimmy Johnson “You can’t be a sloppy football team and be successful in the NFL.” Jimmy Johnson “Football is such a team sport, so no one individual does it. No one coach or no one assistant coach or no one player, it’s a great team sport, so I don’t get carried away with a bunch of accolades.” Jimmy Johnson “I don’t want to lose the feeling I have for players, but the pro system almost causes you to be cold and insensitive, when you have to release players yearly.” Jimmy Johnson “Elliott’s bigger, stronger, maybe even a step faster than Emmitt Smith, but they’re both very similar. I think, you know, Ezekiel Elliott is a more powerful runner. He runs over people. Both of ’em can make people miss, so you don’t really get a big shot on ’em. But Elliott will take on tacklers, whereas, you know, Emmitt never did this.” Jimmy Johnson “Do you want to be safe and good, or do you want to take a chance and be great?” Jimmy Johnson “Military leaders aren’t made. They are born. To be a good leader, you have to have something in your character to cause people to follow you.” Jimmy Johnson “I was the personnel director there with the Cowboys.” Jimmy Johnson “Anybody who has ever been around me knows I’ll give you my opinion.” Jimmy Johnson “A head coach has to be able to oversee all facets of the team and of the game.” Jimmy Johnson “I’m really impressed with Kolb there in Philadelphia. He’s a very talented quarterback.” Jimmy Johnson " I think the biggest thing was that when I was in college, I really concentrated on personnel. That was my strength, and I was, in essence, my own recruiting coordinator. And when I went to the pros, I did the same thing.” Jimmy Johnson “You can’t really compare teams just because of two or three players.” Jimmy Johnson “Of all the programs, I watch sporting events live and I watch ‘Survivor’ live. Everything else I TiVo.” Jimmy Johnson “The only thing worse than a coach or CEO who doesn’t care about his people is one who pretends to care. People can spot a phony every time.” Jimmy Johnson “I could start a fire from scratch.” Jimmy Johnson “I think as far as any kind of pressure on a football team or on an individual in professional sports really depends not only on that individual but the leadership they have on the team and the leadership they have on the coaching staff. A lot of times, they can divert some of those pressures off of the individual and off of the team.” Jimmy Johnson “I’m not a bad man.” Jimmy Johnson “Just following ‘Survivor’ over the years, sometimes if an individual is not a threat and he doesn’t rub anybody the wrong way and he can get into an alliance, he can hang out there for a while.” Jimmy Johnson “I know as a coach and a player we had three a day practices and that was physically taxing but at least we had food in our stomach and a good nights rest and plenty of cold water.” Jimmy Johnson “A lot of coaches could ration out their time. They could delegate. They would make time for their family. But when I was coaching I would almost laugh at those guys. I knew we were working the extra hours to get an edge on them.” Jimmy Johnson “There is a way to practice hard and be physical without pads. You can still be a physical football team and be efficient in practice without pads. The 49ers practiced like that for a long period of time in the 1980s under Bill Walsh and were extremely successful when all the other teams were practicing in pads.” Jimmy Johnson “In fact, one of the conversations I had with Jason Garrett, you know, sometimes X’s and O’s get so complicated, and a coach gets so into that that he forgets the most important thing is players win ballgames. Make sure that the players are properly equipped and motivated to do their jobs.” Jimmy Johnson “When I went to the Dolphins, we retained most of their coaching staff, and of course, we had a few veteran players. So, I just tried to add a few pieces here and there.” Jimmy Johnson “Football rewards the guys that are in great condition.” Jimmy Johnson “I can’t confirm any rumors. I’m happy doing what I’m doing. I have no interest in going back to coaching.” Jimmy Johnson
