Swoness is the pen name of a multi-talented Tiv-Nigerian author, artist, politician, and singer who describes herself as a visionary and a passionate learner and is proud of her African heritage. She is also recognized for founding the name "Swoness" and authoring “The Wise Book” (titled The Great Insight) and for her work as an artist. She is born in Makurdi, Benue, Nigeria, on July 11. Swoness hails from Nambe, Mbaikyan, Nanev, Kwande Local Government Area (the first area in the state that got early civilization; the people were well-educated and they interacted with the white people. Kwande is a large local government area (LGA) in Benue State, Nigeria, known for its mountainous terrain, agricultural wealth, and strategic border location. With its headquarters in the town of Adikpo (historically dubbed "Adikpo-London" due to its beauty), it covers an area of roughly 2,891 square kilometers and had an estimated projected population of over 350,000. Kwande shares international boundaries with the Republic of Cameroon in the southeast and Takum in Taraba State, alongside internal borders with several LGAs in Benue State (including Katsina-Ala, Ushongo, and Vandeikya). Its proximity to the Cameroonian mountain ranges provides the area with a uniquely cool climate that is favourable for both agriculture and commerce.
